Brewer's Notes

For the Choco Nut Stout, there's a pleasant chocolate aroma with nice nuttiness coming through. The taste is similar with a creamy chocolate taste along with the nuts. It has some sweetness coming through the beer but not too heavy, smells sweeter than the taste. ABV is 6.3%, IBUs are low at 23 to help offset the sweetness. I think the mouthfeel lingers a bit with taste but the overall body of the beer isn't full and heavy.

When you order on the website, there's a minimum order of Php750 for delivery and you need to pay in advance upon checkout. However, there's no minimum order value required for pickup, and you or your courier can pick up the orders at our brewery. You still need to pay for the orders in advance on the website.

You bet! For those living in Metro Manila, we offer same day delivery for orders made before 3PM. Simply select the same day delivery option upon checkout. If you missed the cut-off time, don't worry! You can still get your hands on your orders by choosing the Same Day Pickup option during office hours. Please note that the shipping fee will be shouldered by the buyer.

Where's the nut?

Per the title of this review, I was looking for the nutty notes. With the name 'Choco Nut', it sets a huge expectation that the drinker would get notes of chocolates and nuts. Unfortunately, I only got the chocolate. I wonder if and which adjuncts were used. It's still a good stout in my opinion though.

I just love how Engkanto Brewery keep on churning out exciting beer variants! From Ube now to this Choco Nut which really reminds me of the delicacies we used to love as a kid! The taste of choco and peanut are both present! And this one is also very easy to drink!! :) Way to go, Engkanto! :)
