WE BEGIN WITH A BURNING QUESTION
Why aren’t there more beer choices in the Philippines?
This idea lit a fire under Ian Paradies, our founder, and at that moment, he knew something must happen for the underserved locals in the Philippines.
LOVE FOR COUNTRY AND CRAFT BEER STARTS TO POUR
Engkanto Brewery took flight in 2017 to show Filipinos that we could do anything just as good as anyone can. On top of that, it’s to educate beer lovers that the most populardrink in the countryis so much more than commercial lagers. The core Engkanto craft beers, which only uses natural ingredients, was our effort to introduce unique and different beer styles.
A FORM OF RESPECT TO ANCESTRY
The name ‘Engkanto’ comes from the enchanted spirits of our ancestors. We believe that by carrying onthe culture fueled by energy and passion from them, we can be unstoppable.
ONE MAN'S PASSION IS SET INTO GREATER MOTION
Purveying Engkanto craft beers to reach Filipinos nationwide, our microbrewery in Makati City moved to a larger facility in its present location at Carmona, Cavite. The core beers, enjoying a new home, won international awards with Brewmaster Michael ‘MJ’ Jordan taking the helm of the brewery in 2021.
While the finest restaurants, bars, hotels, and resorts start to pick up the craft beers, efforts to educate beer lovers still new to the craft remained crucial for our team.

A REIMAGINATION HAPPENS TO REACH MORE
Brewmaster MJ spurred on the team to reimagine the original line-up, and so we made it more approachable and more exciting for the people. As a result, a new core line-up was born along with seasonal releases.
The beers you now enjoy highlight the collaboration with local farmers in using homegrown, high-quality products such as honey, mango, and ube in our globally renowned craft beers.
