This strong and juicy Imperial IPA (India Pale Ale) boasts of Zappa hops, named after the rebellious Frank Zappa, as this double-dry hopped beer shows off a complex hop character and potent strength. It has an unapologetic 8.2% ABV and bitterness at 48 IBUs, with flavor notes of fruity, citrusy, and piney coming from the rebel hops and the blend of other imported beer ingredients. The addition of oats give the beer a stable haze.

Brewer's Notes

For Wild Love Juicy Imperial IPA, we used Zappa hops, also known as neomexicanus since they're not traditional, and they grow in the wild. It's a very potent, dual hop for bittering and aroma, so it can really overwhelm the final beer when used to much. That's why we made a good blend of 4 hop varieties, and used a double dry hop addition during the fermentation process. Since we wanted it hazy, we used oats that gives the body and a stable haze. At 8.2 ABV and 48 IBUs, it's pretty balanced and has a deceptive strength.

It is strong! One should take this easy and slow. I usually prefer stouts, but I'm getting an acquired taste for IPAs. I should order more :)

IPA..Wow!

Unbelievable quality with this brew! I taste lychee, peaches, apricots and strawberries as final fruit note and then the hops smacks you in the face nicely. Top tip..drink this ultra cold and poured in a freezer chilled glass. Amazing as always Team Engkanto.

Not for the soft

The explosion of hops in this one is extremely enjoyable! The slight piney taste compliments it even more, and at 8.2% ABV, sheeesh! Perfect beer to kickoff any activity filled day or night for that matter!
